Associate transfer zones

To connect a transfer zone stack block and a non-transfer zone stack block, you draw a yard path connection between the two. This creates a transfer zone association.

When you are done making yard model changes, you can apply the updated yard model (on page 1).

To add a transfer zone association:

  1. With the Yard Path tool selected, draw a path between a stack block of type Transfer Zone - Straddle, Transfer Zone - Wheeled, or (Transfer Zone - Transtainer and a non-transfer zone stack block. You can also draw a path between a Transtainer TZ and a Rail track plan.

The Transfer Zone Association form opens. N4 automatically fills in the following fields:

  1. From the Associated Location list, select whether the transfer zone is located at the low or high end of the block row or column level.

  2. Optionally, use the Start Index and End Index fields to specify the range of rows inside the associated stack block than can be served from the transfer zone.

  3. Click Save.
